2020 / WHAT A YEAR…
How to describe a year such 2020… which words to choose, for a year that none of us ever experienced before…
I am still a dreamer… i still believe in kindness… i feed my inner world from the past… and i am excited for anything i have not experience yet…
As a human being… as a father, as a husband , as a friend… and a son… it was a challenge… and it still is some days…
We had to discover new ways of living… we had to discover parts of us we never had the chance until now to experience…
As a photographer i had to appreciate everyone and everything… i had to be flexible… i had to understand the difficulties my couples had to organise their events…
I had to support the amazing amount of work and effort the wedding vendors was giving to keep those dream events alive…
So once again… under all the difficulties we all had to face…
Families invited us in their homes and we felt their love…
We witness kindness…
We discover new places… places that made our days and nights more beautiful
We saw genuine smiles…
We felt the warm anxiety of preparation…
And we felt love… once again…
We shared moments… and we walked barefoot during a sunset…
We experienced once again the beauty of Greek islands on sunset…
Guests surprised us in ways is hard to forget…
And we came close enough…
Once again we had the chance to share time with vendors we love to call “friends”…
We saw love everywhere…
We became kids once again… and we followed “dads” in to the unknown…
We shared quite moments… with couples who traveled from the heart of the pandemic to Greece, to enjoy their dreamy wedding
We saw grandparents… what a blessing moment to remember
Wedding planners once again did their best to travel us to magical places…
We sat down and played with kids and families…
And we laughed with our heart…
We never felt alone in our journey…
Spiderman was here to protect us…
We met people… that we will always cary in our hearts…
And musicians made as sing for the bride and groom…
We visit places we love soooo much…
And we felt humble…
We kept traditions alive…
Smiles…
we experience the beauty of life…
We had to wait…
And keep our heads down…
We had to see life through kids eyes…
we felt family Love… under the Greek sun
We saw a baby climb on stairs…
and we almost lost our hearing… aaaaahahhahahahaa
And yes… the battle was epic…
we played… cat and mouse…
and we felt joy…
we worked with vendors we love and respect…
and we visit places from the past…
We discover the most amazing place to shoot a wedding…
We brought out the party animals we all are with the help of AMAZING Dj’s
And it was a blessing to sit around the table and share things beyond food…
we capture genuine precious love…
and more love…
Ohhhh ma couples…
we shot details…
for the ones we love…
and their friends…
and we felt JOY…
And all these… and many more… in a year as 2020…
Every year… i make a private post like this… to say thank you… to the couples i shared the year… and to the future ones.
I am not sure if this year helped me to become a better photographer… as a father of three kids and as a husband to my best friend… my challenge was always to keep a balance… between life and work… definitely it was a year with so many difficulties… through images i can still feel life and joy… and as a photographer i feel blessed for the trust i am getting under times like these… but i will be a liar if i end this post without sharing my worries and fears…
These days the applause and respect goes to the ones who fight every day with covid… to the ones who fight to stay alive… and i wish one day those joyful moments become reality for all the world…
I am wishing a Happy new year… to everyone… to stay healthy and happy… stay positive… Thank you all for for everything… for the trust… and love…
And i chose the word “Gratitude” because it means so much… and these days especially… we have to discover the real meaning and how this communicate to our hearts…
